The Youth Athletics National Championship is a national championship with open entry instead of qualifying standards (performance guidelines are used to show athletes what medal-winning marks may be). The meet is open to athletes born after July 29, 1982. The US team for the second IAAF World Youth Track and Field Championships, to be held this July in Debrecen, Hungary, will be in training at Decatur during the Youth Athletics Nationals. |
