Men's 10k Racewalk

      Russia can decide from nearly a dozen in this event who could be competitive for medals! Aleksey Grigoryev was 40:53.5 last year to lead the even worldwide at this level, with a 40:55.0 best from as far back as 2004. Edikt Khyabullin (Russia) has walked 41:06.4 with Artem Sisyukov 41:23.7, and Andrey Ryabushev 41:27.3, with others to back them up, including 2005 World Youth Champ Sergey Morozov. Albania's Orest Laniku was 40:57.9 in 2005 for this distance, with Denis Simanovich (Bulgaria) fifth in last year's European Junior Championships at 41:36.0. China has a very strong program also, with Xiangdong Bo 41:30.00, Wu Guosong 41:44.9 in 2005, and Meng Ke 41:50.5 last year.
